Use the buttons below to compare Edge 30W, 50W, and 100W. The goal isn't to overwhelm you with specs — it's to show what each spec means in a real shop.
"We were doing NFA marking by hand before. The Edge 50W cut our compliance marking time down to a couple minutes per piece. The training week was worth it alone — we left knowing exactly how to run it."
"I had the machine paid off in about four months doing PMAGs and custom pistol slides. The rotary that came with it opened up tumblers and flask work I didn't even plan on. That's just extra revenue now."
"SA Laser didn't just sell me a machine. When I had questions after the training, someone actually answered the phone and walked me through it. That's not common in this industry."
From compliance marking to premium custom work — the same machine handles all of it.
Wattage, lens size, speed, marking area, and accuracy all affect cycle time, workflow, repeatability, and how efficient the machine is for your application.
Higher wattage usually reduces cycle time and makes deeper work more efficient. Lower wattage can still reach depth, but may require more passes and more time per job.
Smaller lenses are useful for finer detail. Larger lenses give more marking area for bigger parts and fixture setups.
The work area determines how much of the part can be engraved without repositioning or refixturing.
Repeatability matters when running serial numbers, logos, production parts, fixtures, or matching work across multiple pieces.
LightBurn gives the operator control over layers, settings, templates, and repeat workflows from the very first job.
The right settings and workflow matter as much as the machine. SPARK Training is included and shortens the learning curve significantly.

The 30W is a strong fit for marking, light engraving, and shops primarily doing logos, serial numbers, and identification work. The 50W is the best all-around shop option and where most FFL and gunsmith shops land. The 100W is built for higher throughput, faster cycle times, and heavier production use.
Yes. The 30W can deep engrave, but it usually takes more time and more passes compared to a 50W or 100W system. If deep engraving is frequent, the 50W is more efficient.
Every Edge system ships with LightBurn software, a rotary attachment, both 110mm and 220mm lenses, a 2-year parts and labor warranty, 5 days of hands-on SPARK Training, and lifetime support from the SA Laser team. No add-ons required to get started.
Yes. The same Edge system handles firearm parts, tools, tags, plates, industrial parts, coated metals, serial numbers, logos, tumblers, jewelry, and production marking.
The default numbers are deliberately conservative and based on common real-world shop service types. Many shops charge more or do higher volume than what's shown. You can adjust both price and volume to match your market.
The Edge is positioned for business use — shops, production environments, firearm work, customization, and customers who need real support after the sale. If you're running a shop or adding a revenue stream, this is built for that.
